Professional Bio
Throughout a long career dedicated to leasing commercial real estate, Bruce Feldman gained his expertise by handling thousands of leasing transactions. Beginning with leasing a family-owned commercial property and later serving as a senior executive for a multinational corporation, his career has been marked by innovative solutions, diligent negotiations, extraordinary attention to detail, and an unblemished record of attracting the right tenant to the right space at the right price.
A 1982 graduate of Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, Bruce began his real estate career managing and leasing a 50,000 square foot commercial center in the Five Towns area of Long Island in 1993. That successful endeavor led him to a position leasing and managing some of New York’s most prestigious real estate for prominent owners of large Manhattan portfolios. He has also served as Executive Officer and Principal Broker for a unique real estate relocation operation formed by TMP Worldwide’s Monster.com. Most recently, he was the exclusive leasing and managing agent for a private portfolio of 55 commercial and residential buildings in Manhattan. Working for those properties through numerous economic and market cycles, he has successfully negotiated with a long and diverse list of retail, office and residential tenants including McDonald’s Corporation, Subway Restaurants, Washington Mutual Bank, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Verizon Wireless Services, Quest Diagnostics, Municipal Credit Union and many, many more.
Bruce began his professional career in retail management in 1980, highlighted by various store and district-level management positions for Carter Hawley-Hale, The May Company and Federated Department Stores. This background has provided unique and vital perspective for his retail clients.
In forming Bruce Feldman Associates, LLC in 2009, Bruce literally shifted his position from one side of the negotiating table to the other. His extensive background and experience representing landlords in office and retail lease transactions makes him uniquely suited to advocate exclusively for the interests of tenants, to whom his experience is now dedicated. Bruce is a New York State Licensed Real Estate Broker, Certified Commercial Leasing Specialist, and Certified Leasing Advisor.
